1st Verse:

Teena** spoke in Opus III (The Second Movement) on the legendary players that went out to play savior, each one their fate they met, their fate resting at the barrel of a gun or on the edge of a knife, for they gave their lives to the people, realizing how crazy life can get,

That makes them the blood of the martyrs, to the best players in the game who choose to be saviors, saviors whether kismet or not meant, to be remembered through suffering, pain and sacrifice, due to psychological behavior,

Psychological behavior, a condition of the mind that prevents great men and great women from being free, free to manifest life through word and deed, cuz someone out there wants to be me, and take a piece of me,

A savior cuz "Makavelli never lied," but at the barrel of a gun he died, cuz the prophet was for real, and he manifest his mentals like Jesus Christ died on the cross, and so many others we know from riding on their street or walking into their building, a life that's gone, and a love that's lost,

And if time and fate had been kind, then our kismet spirits could have been, instead I feel like I lost my very best friends, the ones who learned for love to live and let live, and who became a part of my world, cuz they shined bright like diamonds, precious gems, with all of the luster and bling of rubies and cultured pearls,

So let's enjoy each other while we are still here, cuz no one knows what tomorrow may or may not bring, a savior or a martyr, letting us live or rest in peace, hearing the sparrows sing or going home riding on angel wings,

A Savior ... ETC, Etc, etc …

**Mary Christine Brockert (March 5, 1956 – December 26, 2010), better known by her stage name Teena Marie, was an American singer, songwriter and producer. She was known as Tina before taking the stage name Teena Marie, then she later acquired the nickname of Lady Tee (sometimes spelled Lady T), given to her by collaborator and friend, Rick James.
She was known for her distinctive soulful vocals which initially caused many listeners to believe she was black. Her success in R&B and soul and loyalty to these genres would earn her the title Ivory Queen of Soul. She played rhythm guitar, keyboards and congas. She also wrote, produced, sang, and arranged virtually all of her songs since her 1980 release, Irons in the Fire, which she later said was her favorite album.

Open Letter ©

1st Verse:

Sitting here with nothing to do, the days seem to be getting longer, and my desire for you keeps getting stronger, stronger cuz I know the way that you feel when you're in my arms, stronger like the way I feel when you rub my shoulders and my back just a little bit longer,

Longer cuz I want you here with me, more and more every day, and I love the way you make me feel when you rub and caress all of my aches and pains away,
It feels like holding you in my arms, and you are soft and warm, or massaging your shoulders and rubbing your back and listening to all that you have to say,

So I'm writing this open letter to you to let you know how love feels, when not a word is spoken and the feeling is real, I'm writing this open letter cuz no cheap imitation of you will do, I need something real, something that I can feel and no one else but you will do,

And even though the Sangria makes me smile cuz it feels so good inside, I am still intoxicated by your tough, you warm embrace, cuz it means so much, and it's been said that, "everyday the sun doesn't shine, sometimes it has to rain,"* that's when I know that my pleasure and pain are one in the same,

So I'm writing to you this open letter in hopes that soon you will come home and to, "pacify my heart while I'm alone"** Cuz I miss holding you in my arms, and the feel of your shoulders and your back, this open letter is for you, please come home soon so we can get this love back on track ...

Open Letter ...
